From Barbara Goio

Dear Scij friends, we started under a gloomy foggy day but right the day after, the sun was shining and we could admire the beautiful mountains, the Adamello massive and the Presena Glacier.

We could ski every day in a breathtaking landscape and, thanks to the glacer, always in perfect conditions.

On Sunday, the very expert and friendly ski-teachers of the "Scuola di sci Ponte di Legno-Tonale" leaded us amog the 100 km of well kept slopes of ski area "Adamello": the gentler ones in Passo del Tonale, and the more challenging "Paradiso" and "Temù", a black track which is applying to host a slalom World Ski Cup race.

Free ski day on Monday, and perfect weather conditions let the skillest, and craziest, of Scij members the chance to discover the glacer offpiste tracks. Some deared to explore very steep 'couloir' while others faced the renowed "Cantiere": maybe we are ready to institute a freeride branch of Scij!

On Tuesday, the race. After a very early foggy beginnig, we could enjoy the ride on a perfectly tracked slope, good for every ski style, world champions and beginners. And this is not a joke: among our Scij members we have a former champion and someone who started skiink a couple of days ahead. The team spirit was at its highest point and the host team, Italy, did a great job, although its athletes had been "training" in organizing the Meeting.

The weather forecast was very bad for Wednesday and Thursday but, luckily enough, it didn't get the point, and so we had some sun during the free ski day, and perfectly blu sky on the Cross Country Race. Again the host team made very good performances.

The last skiing day, on Friday, was made to give all the Scij members a everlasting memory of the week!
